YKY cables are used for transmitting electrical energy, connecting generators to transformers and connecting electrical receivers. They can be used outdoors as well as indoors (in dry and humid locations). Thanks to their sheath, YKY cables can be laid directly in the ground, in open air, cable ducts, distribution boards, concrete enclosures and local networks where there is no risk of mechanical damage. YKY cables are designed for use in power equipment, industrial plants, power stations and local domestic power supply networks for e.g. receivers located outside buildings e.g. gate actuators, garden lighting, power supply to outbuildings or garages
